The WAVE Generator 1500 combines a Yuchai diesel engine, a Leroy-Somer alternator and a SmartGen controller in a sound-insulated container genset. With 1,500 kVA at 50 Hz and a 1,500-litre fuel tank, it powers your production and infrastructure. It is available in 50 or 60 Hz configurations. Brain for AI-assisted monitoring is included as standard.
Interkey Brain included as standard. Earlier maintenance insights, AI-assisted remote analysis and load management with your WAVE machines, connected in one system.

Understand operating conditions and identify maintenance needs earlier.
Changes in vibration, temperature and oil pressure can indicate maintenance needs before a fault interrupts operation.
Operating trends, alerts, video and audio support AI-assisted analysis and help the service team prepare for a visit.
Load profiles and running hours reveal unnecessary operation. Coordinated control can improve the scheduling of starts and flexible loads.
The generator and WAVE machines can exchange operating states, bringing power demand and machine starts into the same view.
Potential fuel savings depend on loading and operating conditions. Brain provides the data to identify unnecessary running time and optimise operation. Results are assessed using comparable operating data.
Power your WAVE production
The overview shows planning examples for our five production models. For IC570 we assume 40 kW during operation; FD480 and FD450 use their maximum catalogue loads. WAVE plans your actual machine combination around its equipment and operating processes.
Calculation assumption: 1,500 kVA × cos φ 0.8 = 1,200 kW · less 20% planning reserve
960 kW remain as the machine budget in these examples. The power factor cos φ = 0.8 and the 20% reserve are calculation assumptions. WAVE sizes your system individually for its duty, starting behaviour and installation site.
| WAVE model | Power / basis | Calculated quantity* |
|---|---|---|
| IC570MAX | 40 kWrunning · assumed | 24 |
| BIG WAVE | Individual planning | WAVE system planning |
| FD490 | Individual planning | WAVE system planning |
| FD480 | 22 kWmax. catalogue load | 43 |
| FD450 | 22 kWmax. catalogue load | 43 |
* One machine type at a time; rows are alternatives. Quantity = 960 kW ÷ listed power, rounded down. The IC570’s 40 kW is an assumption for running operation. WAVE accounts for peak and starting loads separately in your system design.
We plan BIG WAVE and FD490 installations individually. WAVE accounts for the total electrical load of your equipment, including heaters, compressors and operating processes.
30 machines · 840 kW
This example leaves 120 kW in the machine budget; the 240 kW planning reserve remains untouched.
WAVE brings vacuum pumps, chillers, nitrogen generators and ventilation together in one load schedule. Loads already included in a machine’s power rating are counted once. We coordinate the generator, machines and accessories as one system.
The calculation examples provide planning guidance. For your system design, WAVE accounts for starting currents, staggered starts, power factor and kVA, phase balance, 50 or 60 Hz and site conditions. This determines the generator configuration suited to your operation.
