Trays are filled in a sterile environment. Single tray size is 40 x 60 cm and holds up to 150 vials.
SEMI CLOSED VIALS
The vials are semi closed with silicon caps.
FULLY SEALED
Fully sealed tray with a ePTFE membrane.
LOAD INSIDE WAVE
The closed trays are prefrozen and loaded to the vials closing mechanism in the WAVE freezedryer.
The Steritray 6040 is an upgrade to use for our FD440, IC550 or IC570 for sterile drying as well as for closing vials under vacuum.
This makes the WAVE line of machines an alternative for sterile drying procedures.
Different versions of the Steritray 6040 are available, for different sizes of vials as well as with simple trays for drying of other material that needs to dry under sterile conditions.

Trays with or without vials are prepared and closed with a ePTFE membrane in a sterile environment and can then be used in our machines without risk of contamination. After the drying, vials can be closed in the vacuum or the trays are removed and taken to your sterile environment for further processing.
Each ePTFE membrane is only about 3 EUR/tray and run, which keeps running costs very low.
Air Tight Trays
Using pressurized air the vials are closed applying 200 kg of closing power to each tray.
